So I've been working on a rather long event in VX and something was going wrong, so I tracked the problem down to the variables and when I checked them, I found out that when I multiplied them, they were instead set to the value that they were being multiplied by.
(Example: When Variable 3-at a value of 400-was multiplied by 4, it ended up just becoming 4)
So...WTF is going on?

Well, it turns out I'm not the only one who's encountered that problem, but I found the Variable Fix and it worked!

well, you can always do it by the Script command:

$game_variables[1] *= $game_variables[2]

But yeah, nobody really uses multiplaction in variables.

scripting will not be necessary...
But yeah, I think this is the first time I'm using variable multiplication, though it's very necessary because my situation is...special (but I don't want to reveal it until I reveal the project it's part of).
