ok, so im gonna make a mario game, which is better?, rpg maker 2003, or rpg maker vx? state your opinions.

RPG Maker VX is better because you can use scripts that can make your game look cooler.

It depends on exactly what you want to do. RM2k3 has a simpler system and if you use our resource pack, pretty much all the graphics and sounds are on a plate for you, (Which is why there are so many mario rpg maker 2k3 games that have come out the past year.)

VX and XP are better for more complicated things, you have to know how to use scripts and stuff. And our public tilesets aren't usable for XP, but there are for 2k3.

For you can make a good RPG you need to know several things, it's like:
RM2k3 = begginers-most eventing
RPGXP = normal-good for making tilesets and you an use the scripting(you need to know some of this if you want to use it)
RPGVX = hard-difficult making custom-tilesets and mor difficult in making scripting.

Well, do you know how to script? That can be a major factor. Or are you willing to try and learn?

well, u division, idk how to script, but i know how to put scripts in the game.

But you must be careful because a few specific scripts may clash with the other scrips in a weird way.
