For those of you who have seen my Super Mario Galaxy Rpg! videos, that game is canceled due to the fact that I'm still an amature and couldn't quite pull it off well, I also have ideas for at least 3 games running through my head at all times, and I'm very indecisive.
So that's why it's canceled.

But this is a NEW GAME! Also based off of a 3D Mario Game, but unlike Galaxy Rpg, it is a lot less heavily based on it's acording game (Sunshine in this case.) It was also originaly suposed to be very inspired by the original Super Mario Rpg: Legends of the Sky World, but as more concept was thought of, it became more and more original and I hope that now it will be very different than others.

What I really hope and think will make this game different than others is the different feel to everywhere and everything, mainly the inclusion of water in most of the areas even most of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Spoiler:
Plot: A mysterious group called the D.F. (Delfino Federation) has been tampering with the Shine Gate in Delfino Plaza causing all the light energy to dissapear and turn the big Shine Sprite into a emblem of Darkness instead of light and in the process, causes everything on Isle Delfino to turn to Lifeless stone without any light. With the main beacon of light in the world snuffed of light, the world slowly falls into chaos, but something more dark and sinster is going on that nobody not even Mario himself could predict.

Characters
Allies(Mushroom Kingdom):
Mario: The hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and the one called on to save Isle Delfino and the rest of the world from chaos.
Prince Mush: The first ever champion at the Glitz Pit and plans to be the first of the new one that's being built, joins Mario while on vacation in Toad Town.
Princess Peach: The Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, will do anything in her power to help Mario save the world in one peice.
Toadsworth: Peach's able ward, he will stop at nothing to save the Princess and secretly is a exelent user of magic.
Professor Ubert Reka: Also know as U. Reka. Professor E. Gadd's assistant who lives in Fungi Farms, developed the F.L.U.D.D. gloves.
The Boo Org: An oganization of Boos who are sworn enemies of the Delfino Federation and will help defeat them as long as there isn't to much light on them.
Sargent Boo: The second in command of the Boo Org. A smooth talker who always draws out his S'ssss.
King Boo: The crazy leader of the Boo Org. A bit of a sketchy guy who loves to gamble and collect shiny gems, but doesn't shine light from them onto himself of course.

Allies(Bowser's Kingdom):
Bowser Jr: Bowser's bratty son. The one stuck searching for Kamek and the rest of Bowser's Missing crew.
Snowshi: A light blue Yoshi with ice abilities, travels with Bowser Jr. after he hatches him from an egg.
Bowser: The Koopa King. Instead of trying to capture Peach like usuall, he has to keep his own Kingdom from falling into chaos.
Wart: A frog creature who rules subcon, for some reason he can never tell Bowser Jr. something really Important he wants to tell him.

Enemies:
The Delfino Federation: A group of creatures old and new, former friend, former foe who drained the Shine gate of light. Their leader is unknown.
Goombario: One of the two intelegence heads of the Delfino Federation. Can be nervous at times, but Goombella keeps him in line.
Goombella: One of the two intelegence heads of the Delfino Federation. Very sassy and brave, often has to keep Goombario in line.
Ruiji: The second in command of the Delfino Federation. Knows powerful thunder abilities.

Missing
Professor Evlin Gadd: A very famous scientist and the inventor of hundreds of crazy gadgets.
The Toad Brigade: 5 toads that are some of the top gaurdians of Princess Peach, under the Mario Bros. of course.
Luigi: Mario's whimpy younger twin, sometimes goes on adventures of his own.


Current thing being worked on: Shining Fortress (3rd Dungeon of the Game)

Sounds like a very interesting premise.

I only worry about whether or not you can "pull this off." Are you using Rm2k3? Do you have our resource pack? That'll save you with the trouble of finding most of those sprites. This may seem a little odd, but make sure your game is based off of what you have in terms of resources, or you won't be able to do some of things you want to.

Also of course, fan games tend to take a lot more skill than a basic RPG because often times you're trying to impliment features from another game. If you need any help, you know where to find it. But also, don't get ahead of yourself.

Thanks for the advice and stuff. I'm using RPG Maker VX and the standard RTP tileset, but I have been using some of the characters and music from your reasource pack if that's ok.
Also, I am basing my game of off what reasources I have and ones I can easily obtain (like spriter's reasource sprites or MandLSS sprites that are easy to recolor.)

Oh, I see. Hmm, well there's not much you can do to change how tilesets are done in VX without scripts. I guess you can make of for the lack of Mario feel in the chipsets in other areas.

This game has a great concept so far, but I didn't like how you kept our famous Paper Goombas out of heroism.
