Lolz, not many story in mah life so soon, but only one and that's Super Mario RPG : The Star Bits Journey.
In my opinion, many good mario rpg games are cancelled or incomplete(omegabowser), and some take too many time to make them because of the time in the author's hands(me).
Even one time, C Division had to revive U Division from the dead(or hiatus), or else, the game would remain like that forever, right? correct me if i am wrong.
It seems there's only 5% or less of the done fan games which are of mario rpg.
I feel how is that to have low competency in this area, but there are some good rivals(or competence) out there, even if they are few...

That's basically what I do. That's pretty much what's happened to every single one of my games.

Started 3 projects. 1 is dead. (Sonic Parrallel Dimensions) 1 is on hiatus. (M&L: The Cursed World Legends) 1 is going on right now. (Take a wild guess.)
ICU Gigasoft is easy, because there's no gamplay style you have to stick to and some elements are already layed out there for you (Story, characters, setting, etc.).
Mario and Luigi is going well, but I can't work on two projects at the same time, so....
Sonic: PD is dead because: 1. Too much outside matters. 2. Resources. Time consuming to make. 3. Glitches. You must fix a glitch for every single event. (Though not true for all cases.) 4. Characters and story elements must be sticked to. I am doing 5 worlds, so it is not easy.
This is my list.
