It's possible I'm just trying to do the wrong thing, but at the area in the woods, with the switch across the pits, I'm assuming using the boomerang is the trick to crossing it. However, it won't activate. If there is something else I'm supposed to do, I may just not be noticing it. Anyways, just thought I'd say this. Hoping to get some discussion on this game.

Which woods and exactly where?

I just beat the first dungeon. I tried to enter town, and they wouldn't let me, I needed to get a red stone. So I went into the woods. Went left into the woods, headed south because the north entrance was blocked. I beat the enemies there like I was told, and after being beaten, one of the pathways, the one to the right, opened. I entered there, and across a row of pits was a switch, and I have no idea how to hit it. And if that isn't the goal, I have no idea where to go. Boomerang doesn't work, so no real clue if I missed somewhere.

oooh that spot. I think I know where you mean. For that kind of switch you have to be next to it and press the action key, not boomerang. go below the row pits so that the trees cover you, and you can go across. To the bottom of the screen i guess.

Oh... I feel stupid. I was frustrated by that, especially since earlier I couldn't figure out where to go for quite a while after the first dungeon.

Also, I'm Power. Where do you get the spirit thing? I want to see what the abilities are like. If it's a story thing though, that's fine, just want to know if it's something I have to track down is all.

There are 3 abilities Power gets. The first one is near to where you are. If you want complete specifics like a guide, ask.

I think I'll find them alright, once I complete that area. Just need a bit of time to play it, been working all day.

Edit: Worked. I need to try a bit more so I can beat it, but I think I can find the Spirits. Once I've played through, I'll point out the things I liked/disliked. I think that's what you want to hear.
