Pokemon Gene Version is a Pokemon Fangame I'm making in RPG Maker XP using Poccil's awesome starter kit.



STORY:
A trainer (who you get to name obviously) heads to Mineral Village in hopes to getting his first Pokemon ever, however on his way there he is encountered by the mysterious Team Rocket who for some reason is interested in the trainer. The trainer must travel participating in Gym Battles while attempting to find out why the villainous Team Rocket wants him.

Characters:(behold my not so good spriting skills)
- Andrew
Andrew is the main rival throughout Pokemon Gene. He focuses on using unorthodox and unique strategies in his battles which leads him to wins however his arrogance can get in the way when he trys to battle.
- Elana
Elana is the secondary rival in Pokemon Gene. She is known as one of the best Pokémon Coordinators in the Idenshi region however after an encounter with Andrew she now strives to win the Pokémon League.

All 649 Pokémon are catchable allowing the player to create a team full of unique Pokémon from all regions.
A storyline that has you exploring a new region, meeting legendary Pokémon and battling a new and improved Team Rocket.
Several new Pokémon attacks and abilities.

You just increased the chance of a finished PKMN game being produced on these forums from 1 to 2%.

I hope you can work on this! This seems like a great and possibly unheard of idea. No one's really thought about this before. Also, can you tell me where this takes place. It might take place in Pokemon World America given how Black and White are in the Pokemon World's New York and you said Fifth Generation Pokemon. So what are we looking at? You said mineral so I'm guessing that it is a place in the United States where Igneous Rock is extractable.

I get the feeling there's some sarcasm in this post.
The region itself isn't based on any real world location, but most (all?) of the towns and some of the characters are based on certain types of minerals.

Oh wait. Never mind, I didn't read your plot well Cabal.

It is actually unique to have Team Rocket interested in the training joining them, I just read that as "he fights Team Rocket."

Ha, nice. His head looks a little big though, on the portrait sprite... maybe you should've used a camper for it instead of a fisherman.

EDIT: What's the origin for the game's name?
