also It depends on the way you can get resources, in the people that helps you, the scripts you find, the animation usage, the graphics you use, and the way you can manipulate all of this resources to reach your expectation. many people got impressive stuff, but they don't know how to use it good, and the result is not as good as it could be

Difficulties with Fangames
-Story that makes sense and is not laughable, also has to be original.
-Dialouge that actually sounds like the characters might say whatever.
-Dialouge where the main character is silent.
-Resources that fit the sprites that you use (Mixing rtp with mario super star saga)
