That is what I want it to be called anyway, it might change, plus I'm not 100% sure the name isn't being used already.
Anyway, it's IMPORTANT to know that until I can get my own computer (the one I am using right now isn't really mine, i'm just being allowed to use it, and I have very limited access) I will most likely not be able to get started on this, so do not expect anything soon. For now, what I want to do is just plan out how I want to go about this game first.
Genre: Rpg
Rpg making tool: unknown
PLOT
Now, here's the story (could change). Mario and Luigi are sleeping after a long, but victorious battle against bowser, a scene of bowser sulking about the usual loss to mario is shown, all the sudden you see the shadow and sound of a spaceship on bowser as he has a freaked out look. A flash of light is shown, and the scene goes back to mario's house. Prince peasley crashes into mario and luigi's house, waking then up as they are startled. Prince peasley, for once losing his cool explains how the beanbean kingdom was attacked in the knight by flying saucers, (all while scenes of it are shown) the kingdom was left in ruins, the queen, being shocked of the attack itself, but also how great the number of saucers, tells prince peasley to go get help, knowing the severity of situation, prince peasley leaves eventually, although reluctantly. Afterwards a scene is shown of a new Queen Shroob with an army of Shroobs coming into the Queens throne room. After that, the scene goes back to Mario, Luigi, and Peasley, afterwards, mario agrees to help. Peasley tells Mario to prepare himself for the journey and to meet him at a location in the mushroom kingdom (that I still haven't determined) when he is ready (Naturally, I will throw in shops and stuff, and give Mario some money to begin with). BUT for those thinking this will just be centered around the shroobs as enemies, no way, cause I love to twist things up.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS
Mario, Luigi, Peasley, Geno, Cackletta, Fawful, Bowser, Peach, Mallow, A lone Shroob who somehow speaks their language, And more surprise characters...that are still a surprise to me. Naturally, only Mario and Luigi will be starting characters, the rest will be unlocked, or join automaticly at some point.
GAMEPLAY
As I said in other areas, when I make a game, I want to think outside the box. At some points in the game, I will have some characters divide into different groups, and you can choose who to take along with that group. Outside of battle, i'll go with just the main character appearing cause I don't want to waste time on the hassle, when it is fine with one character. I want a decent battle system, and effects (for example, mario moves while shooting a fireball, instead of just standing there). I also plan on giving each character custom made attacks, weaknessess ect. This whole game will be using Mario and luigi type sprites or scripts or whatever needed. I also don't want an equipment system for anyone other than mario and luigi. As for the other characters, you can buy, find, and use plain stat boosters. Also, the game will use the level system. Also, i'd want the maps to be custom as well. Also, play as characters separate from mario's party at times.
The timeline for this is to be after bowsers inside story, meaning, i'd have add a whole bunch to the story to make it fit.
Now, with all of that said, i'd like to know what the best rpg making tool for this would be in your opinions, I am a beginner, and I know this will take a lot of skill, but if need be, i'll learn to use a harder rpg maker.
Also, i'd like to hear your idea on where you think I should go with this game.
And since I am kind of an ambitious noob at this, I will need help, so I would like to recruit someone experienced to help me. (but that means you will either still have to be here when I can make it, or give me a way to contact you)
For now, that is it. I hope I didn't go about this wrong, but I have been dying to make this game for a while, and i'd like to get started on planning it out, so i'm just pretty much seeking advise.
