Hey all, I decided to come back to the forums as I am in the process of trying to put together an RMXP game using the Takentai battle system similar to Starlite Worlds. I have done this before but gave up on my project for some odd reason. The data is lost and I'm trying to somewhat recreate it using all M&L SS graphics. All help is appreciated, especially Takentai battle character sets for M&L SS. I already have tons of other resources that I got from the Seven Sages resource pack and converted using a conversion program into the RMXP format. So yeah, just making an unexpected reappearance, and along with that; hopes for a new game. Thanks all, see you guys later.

Here is my old game, I no longer have the files, yikes!

EDIT 5/11/2012: FTBOYK (For the Better of your Knowledge) the game is not canceled. It was however, halted. If anyone wants to help, comment here, or PM me, you can also e-mail me at nniwllehctim@gmail.com. I would like to finish this game some day or at least get out a demo. Thank you for your time.

Well if you are planning to recreate it, don't plan to make it clone some elements of The Starlite Worlds. Yes, it uses some elements of the two/three Mario RPG series, but it's not all elements, and what you came up with for your old version wasn't convincing as it was a TSW clone.

Button commands and it being M&L should be about the only similarities. Story line and everything will be completely different, I'm not trying to make it a clone. But thank's for the input, anyways. At the moment I'm trying to brush up my scripting skills, I'm reading over the takentai script trying to remember what I did to make the animations for the attacks @~@

EDIT: Also, by recreate I did not mean the Starlite Worlds, I meant my game files that I've lost, just to make that a bit more clear.

YES.
I'm so glad to hear you're working on the game again.
I wish you the best of luck with your project, and hopefully you won't have any data loss this time around.

Thanks, good to see you again too. I have a small error with Mario's jump animation. Even though I know I have the Row and Sheet number specified it STILL wont work. Wanna take a look at it for me? It shows the jumbled Mario image with like 5 different Marios even though I have walk anim off, and I have specified the row and sheet image. It's pretty annoying. Also, if there's anyway I could help out with one of your games I'd love to.

Maybe C-Division can help you out there. I'm not as familiar with Tankentai, and I don't even have RMXP right now.

Well I was able to fix my problem, but I've encountered another... Upon pressing my Timed Hit for Mario, it initiated the "Jump 2" skill that's exactly the same as the "Jump" skill, but does not trigger the common event and does half the damage, however when I assign it an animation on Takentai, Takentai won't listen and makes the skill do absolutely nothing D:

We had to make a lot of edits to Takentai to get it to do what we wanted.

Can you explain to me what you mean by that? You mean that you went beyond editing the configuration part of the script.

Yea, I ended up writing my own script and changing some things, going beyond configuration.
CD did configuration stuff, I modified and created scritp.
