I'm working on a Mario & Luigi (RPG) fan game for numerous reasons, the most obvious being that these are characters I'm completely familiar with and have been almost my entire life. I first played Mario Bros. (not the super version, mind you... the one where they're in the sewers) back when I was around 8 years old, and I've liked Mario games since.

As a fan of all sorts of RPGs, I was thrilled when the SNES RPG came out, because it actually gave a deeper story to the characters. I've played parts of Paper Mario, and I've played both Superstar Saga and Partners in Time, although I enjoyed the former more out of the two. I didn't play Bowser's Inside Story.

Even though I don't care for the current Nintendo consoles, I still do like Mario and most of the games that he stars in. As I said earlier, these are characters and a style of humor that I'm very familiar with, so I think that's the main reason why I'm creating a Mario fan game.
