Good idea or completely unnecessary?

Let's be honest, for the majority of RPGs everything is pretty easy to figure out. Unlike, say, Final Fantasy, pretty much everything can be discovered through simply playing the game and being moderately observant.

On the other hand, things like boss stats and secret quests might only be known by the creators of the game.

On the other other hand, thanks to the internet, if one person knows something than everyone else can easily know it too. You can just ask the developers too.
