Quote: As the darkness becomes light, the light falls into darkness. This is a new entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and also the game before the final one. Quote: The seventh (not counting remakes) entry into Disney and Square Enix's crossover series Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is slated to be released alongside the launch of Nintendo's upcoming Nintendo 3DS hand-held. While plot details are currently extremely scarce, what is known is that the game will connect to Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, coded, and Kingdom Hearts III itself; the game will involve Sora's and Riku's Mark of Mastery exams, as hinted at in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded's secret ending; the vague statement that players will grow not with Sora, but a less familiar character; and that "trust" will be a prominent theme.
Recently announced to feature all new Disney worlds alongside old worlds such as Traverse Town, the game will star both Sora and Riku as the main characters, both wearing their attire from the original game and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Through the use of the 3DS' high-speed graphics and processing power, the game will have graphics on par with Kingdom Hearts II, a statement supported by the few currently existing screenshots from 2010's Electronics Entertainment Expo. Currently, the game is still in the early phases of development, with a complete gameplay system being tested and toyed with (a system which the trailer would suggest is heavily based on Birth By Sleep's) and the development team in the process of selecting which worlds will be used. Current information suggests a character-switch gameplay system, where players will swap between playing as Sora and Riku, and more acrobatic moves making use of the environment. Trailer: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/3d/trailer.htmlQuote: Tetsuya Nomura has emphasized that the game will "tear down past elements" and that players should expect the unexpected. Quote: Nomura has said it refers to something like the distance you drop into your dreams, and admits that the English isn't perfect; the words were chosen for how they sound, rather than English fidelity (a clearer phrasing would be something like "how deeply you fall into your dreams"). It looks awesome. Comments?

MarioSuperStar wrote: The only reason I dislike KH games is because they put in Disney characters... Some (believe it or not) don't like Kingdom Hearts not because of Disney characters, (In fact, they were actually excited) but because of how muddled up the storyline was. ..... I blame Disney.
