Yeah, that's kind of the problem. That's why it took me so long to think it all trough. I have absolutely no idea how I should go about making the game; that's why I was going to ask for help. Any help. Help with writing, scripting, art, anything. I was hoping to get people enthusiastic enough about it through the plot to consider helping out. I don't even want to claim responsibility for this. All I want is to bring this game into existence.

Hmm... From my experience in crafting a Phoenix Wright engine, I can tell you that's not particularly difficult. You don't need much or any script really. You just need common events, variables and switches. And plenty of "Show Picture." In fact, that's all PW really is...
For that matter, I suggest using XP or VX for the game. 2k3 has the weakest support in terms of graphics, and your game will probably more focused on graphics. Also, in XP/VX you can show picture while the text box is displayed, to give the illusion of animation.
As far as graphics go... well, now that I think about it might be more realistic to use character-set sized representation for the characters instead of artwork like PW.
