 Post subject: Cloth Luigi: a LBP2 project

I'm working on a Paper Mario-ish game in Little Big Planet on the PS3(don't call me a traitor). It follows Luigi during the adventure he had during Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

New Looks: That is, new for Paper Mario. I'm using LBP2 for making this game, so the visuals will obviously be different; but that won't be the only difference. Where Paper Mario's looks were like a pop-up book, Cloth Luigi's will be more like a puppet-show.

Turn-based battles: Will be pressent.

Forgetfull Luigi: During PM:TTYD, Luigi tells you about his adventures. However, because of his nerves, poor Luigi forgets to tell you everything, leaves out details, or even lies to save his face or to protect others. Needless to say, the story Luigi tells you may differ a bit from how the story of Cloth Luigi goes.

I don't have any pictures yet, and, as always, the script isn't even complete yet, but I've never felt more confident about a project, and I have great confidence this will be finished, and, hopefully, will be worthy of carrying the Paper Mario name.

*Help*: I'm looking for someone to help with the music for this project. If you own LBP2 and think you can help, please contact me.

I don't know much about LBP2, but how are you going to make the battle system?

Not unless you have Little big planet, no, but I'll try to somehow get some pictures of it on here.

Seems really ambitious, and "I'll figure something out" doesn't sound very convincing in terms of your battle system.
Why not just forget the battle system and make Cloth Luigi a platformer?

NO. I know "I'll figure something out" doesn't sound very convincing, but this is Little Big Planet. It's not like RPG Maker, where you have to write a Script for the battle system, you have to physicly build it; so it basicly comes down to thinking something up, and messing with it until it works. And don't be afraid, I've already thought something up.

So update day has come and gone, and I've neglected to make an update. Typical.
So to show you all that I'm serious about this project, I'll tell you about one of the game's unique gameplay elements.

Now, LBP works with independent levels, which prevents me from including stocks in my game. This makes it impossible for me to make Luigi carry items, unless they're directly tied to the plot. Therefore, I've been forced to get creative and try to come up with something to replace the standard in-battle Item Menu with.
So now I'm proud to present: Crowd Control.
In the game, Luigi can use a special power in that allows him to manipulate the audience. The audience will play a much more important role than in any Paper mario-ish game before; they will take the place of items and even badges.

I will explain this in detail, but it's late now, and I need some time to write this down.
I'll update the main post with details about this feature in the near future.
