Interesting. Is it a visual novel-ish game in terms of how you "travel" or are there maps and the like?

I guess you can say it's a mixture. You get overworld fields, and there are some events where you can make choices a la VN styles. Sometimes only allowing you to travel path A until you clear it, where you get Paths A & B, raise friendship levels, go through bad choices and fight an impossible enemy, you name it.

Hmm... This seems like a Ace Attorney Investigation Miles Edgeworth Overworld-Close Up style, conserving the Ace Attorney's
view. This close up's would make dialogue more fluid and visual rather than just seeing charas speaking through a text bubble.
I also percieve you are trying to do a relationship system? Will it be related to what the player tells her or what the player
gives. I am curious about the battles.

The original series (somewhat) did the whole "MC's point of view" like PW and a bunch of other visual novels of course, so it really is his point of view.

Most likely only tells. Kinda hard to make gifts possible.

Kimi no Yusha-ish. Three party members, turn-based, Elemental Areas (FOF Change in TotA), TP thingy, Partner Switch (Paper Mario, Atelier Iris), MC dies, game over after three turns, relationship system tie-ins (Persona), Action Commands (maybe).

Lolno. 2k3's outdated and limited to handle what I want, so it'll be in VX Ace.
Then again this is all concept, so it's not entirely set as of yet.
